Tim Boyle
Tim Boyle Lands with Tennessee
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 3:31 PM
The Titans signed Boyle to a contract Wednesday.
Analysis: Boyle, a storied journeyman who's logged action for the Packers, Lions, Bears, Jets, Dolphins and Giants in his NFL career, now joins a Tennessee quarterback room alongside incumbents Will Levis and Brandon Allen. The Titans are strong candidates to make further additions to the quarterback room this offseason, potentially including with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.
James Proche
James Proche Latches on in Tennessee
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 3:28 PM
The Titans signed Proche to a contract Wednesday.
Analysis: Proche spent the last two seasons contributing as a special-teams specialist in Cleveland, suiting up for 19 regular-season games in that span. He'll compete to secure a similar role in Tennessee. Proche's ability to contribute on return duties will boost his chances of sticking with the Titans' regular-season roster.
Julius Chestnut
Julius Chestnut Brought back by Tennessee
Wed, Mar 19, 2025, 3:03 PM
The Titans re-signed Chestnut to a one-year deal Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Sacred Heart product has inked a deal to return to Tennessee after taking 22 carries for 102 yards and catching two of his three targets for 11 yards across 17 games in 2024. Additionally, Chestnut played 225 special-teams snaps and tallied 337 kick-return yards. He's expected to play a similar role in 2025.
Brandon Allen
Brandon Allen Lands in Tennessee
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 1:50 PM
The Titans agreed to terms Thursday with Allen on a one-year contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Allen appeared in three games last season as Brock Purdy's top backup in San Francisco. Now, the veteran journeyman joins a Tennessee quarterback room that currently only houses himself and Will Levis, but which should see further additions via either free agency or April's draft, in which the team holds the No. 1 overall pick.
Van Jefferson
Van Jefferson Lands one-year contract
Wed, Mar 12, 2025, 9:10 AM
Jefferson and the Titans reached agreement Wednesday on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The modest salary suggests Jefferson will need to compete for a depth job and may not even be assured of a roster spot. He'll be on his fourth team since the start of 2023, having never come close to matching the 50-802-6 receiving line he produced for the Rams in 2021, his second season in the league. He's finished south of 400 yards in each subsequent campaign and isn't likely to experience a major revival in his age-29 season ahead.
David Martin-Robinson
David Martin-Robinson Finds role late
Tue, Feb 18, 2025, 3:44 PM
Martin-Robinson played in five regular-season games for the Titans in 2024, catching one pass (on two targets) for six yards.
Analysis: Martin-Robinson joined Tennessee as an undrafted free agent out of Temple in the spring and went on to make their 53-man roster out of training camp. However, the 25-year-old spent much of the season as a healthy inactive before finally getting the opportunity to suit up in Week 14 and subsequently appearing in their final five matchups. Still under contract for next season, Martin-Robinson should have the opportunity to earn a larger workload in 2025.
Jha'Quan Jackson
Jha'Quan Jackson Finds role in return game
Tue, Feb 18, 2025, 3:38 PM
Jackson appeared in 12 regular-season games in 2024, catching one ball (on three targets) for eight yards, while totaling 627 return yards on punt and kick duties.
Analysis: Jackson was never able to secure a significant role on offense during his rookie campaign after being selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, he did lockdown the role of Tennessee's punt and kick return man for the majority of the season. However, the Tulane product finished the season as a healthy inactive for their final five games, leaving his role with the squad in 2025 up in the air.
Mason Kinsey
Mason Kinsey Finishes season with two catches
Tue, Feb 18, 2025, 2:49 PM
Kinsey appeared in six regular-season games for the Titans in 2024, securing two catches (on two targets) for 17 yards.
Analysis: Kinsey continued to have a role in the Titans' organization for the fourth straight season, although his workload has remained minimal. The Berry College product's two receptions and 17 yards were career highs though. The 26-year-old remains under contract with the team for the 2025 campaign, and will likely have an opportunity to carve out a larger role next season.
Joshua Kelley
Joshua Kelley Limited work in 2024
Tue, Feb 18, 2025, 2:43 PM
Kelley appeared in three regular-season games for the Titans in 2024, getting one carry for two yards.
Analysis: Kelley latched on with Tennessee in mid-October after being unable to make the Giants' 53-man roster out of training camp. The UCLA product started on the practice squad but spent much of the campaign as a healthy scratch after signing with their active roster in November. Headed for free agency this spring, Kelley's prior success with the Chargers will likely land him an opportunity to play again in 2025.
Stanley Morgan
Stanley Morgan Staying in Tennessee
Mon, Jan 6, 2025, 3:45 PM
Morgan signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Morgan spent his 2024 campaign on the Titans' practice squad after failing to catch on in New Orleans. His most recent in-game action came with the Bengals in 2023, when he appeared in three games and primarily contributed on special teams (four offensive snaps and 52 on special teams). The 28-year-old will likely compete for a similar role in Tennessee ahead of the team's 2025 season.
Josh Whyle
Josh Whyle Steps up to close campaign
Mon, Jan 6, 2025, 11:14 AM
Whyle recorded five receptions (on seven targets) for 29 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. He also converted a two-point conversion.
Analysis: Chig Okonkwo was on the injury report with an abdominal injury during the week and played very limited snaps. That created additional opportunity for Whyle, who logged a career-best 37 snaps and seven targets. He converted that into only 29 yards, though it was still a positive close to the season. Whyle took a significant step forward in 2024, and he should be in line to work alongside Okonkwo more frequently in two tight-end sets in 2025.
Chig Okonkwo
Chig Okonkwo Limited snaps to close season
Mon, Jan 6, 2025, 10:57 AM
Okonkwo was not targeted in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Okonkwo popped up on the injury report Thursday with an abdominal injury and didn't practice at all Friday. While he ended up being active in Week 18, he played only three offensive snaps. Even with the sour finish to the campaign, Okonkwo emerged late in the season by accruing 28 receptions for 217 yards on 38 targets over the prior five games. With improved quarterback play in 2025, Okonkwo could be in line for better results.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Ends season with 50 yards
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 7:53 PM
Westbrook-Ikhine recorded four receptions on seven targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Westbrook-Ikhine tied for the team lead in targets and finished second in both receptions and yards. He was held in check for most of the game, though he delivered big gains of 19 and 16 yards to tally his highest yardage total since Week 13. Despite a slow start to the season, Westbrook-Ikhine ended the year with a career-high nine touchdowns and 497 yards. He is set to hit free agency this offseason and should latch on as a depth pass catcher in Tennessee or elsewhere around the league.
Calvin Ridley
Calvin Ridley Reaches milestone with TEN
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 7:40 PM
Ridley recorded three receptions on five targets for 76 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. He added two rushes for negative three yards.
Analysis: Ridley was held quiet for much of the game, though he broke free for two big gains of 24 and 39 yards just before halftime and the end of the game, respectively. That pushed him over 1,000 receiving yards on the season and also one yard over his total from the 2023 campaign. Ridley will likely be back to lead the Tennessee receiving corps in 2025, and he could see improved results with a rookie quarterback likely leading the offense.
Tony Pollard
Tony Pollard Totals 22 carries in Week 18
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 7:26 PM
Pollard rushed the ball 22 times for 62 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Pollard returned from a one-game absence caused by an ankle issue and illness and handled a workhorse role out of the Tennessee backfield. He struggled to get going, however, as 11 of his carries went for one yard or fewer. Pollard concludes his first season with the Titans with a career-high 1,079 rushing yards and should be back as the team's lead back in 2025 -- potentially in an improved offense.
Mason Rudolph
Mason Rudolph Gets three series in finale
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 7:01 PM
Rudolph completed seven of nine passes for 70 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Will Levis returned to the starting role for the Titans, though Rudolph rotated in for three possessions to close out the first half and begin the second. He accounted for two long gains of 24 and 17 yards, though he ultimately wasn't afforded much opportunity to get into a rhythm. Rudolph didn't make a particularly compelling case to be in the starting mix for Tennessee or any other NFL team in 2025, though he is a capable backup and should land a contract relatively early in the offseason.
Will Levis
Will Levis Splits reps with Rudolph
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 6:27 PM
Levis completed nine of 17 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. He added four rushes for eight yards while losing a fumble.
Analysis: Levis appeared in a game for the first time since Week 15 and led seven of the team's 10 offensive possessions. His statistical output was relatively strong, though the Texans played without several of their key defensive players, and 144 of his 175 yards came in the fourth quarter with the Titans down multiple scores. Levis had a rocky second season as a pro, totaling 13 touchdowns while turning the ball over 17 times. With Tennessee in line to pick first overall, it would come as a significant surprise if he is atop the depth chart entering training camp in 2025.
Chig Okonkwo
Chig Okonkwo Suiting up for finale
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 10:44 AM
Okonkwo is active for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: Okonkwo popped up on the injury report in the middle of the week, and there was some concern about his status after he failed to practice Friday. However, he'll be set to suit up and has seen increased involvement in the Tennessee offense to close the season, commanding a combined 28 targets across his last three games. With Tyler Boyd (foot) sidelined, Okonkwo should have a better chance of maintaining his elevated role.
Tony Pollard
Tony Pollard Suiting up as expected
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 10:41 AM
Pollard (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: Pollard was sidelined for Week 17 due to a combination of an ankle injury and illness. However, he'll be back in action after logging two limited practices during the week, and he should have a clear path to a significant workload with Tyjae Spears (concussion) sidelined. Per Turron Davenport of ESPN, Pollard needs 83 rushing yards to earn $250,000 in incentives and he could earn an additional $200,000 if he finds the end zone twice. That will give him plenty to play for despite the Titans being out of playoff contention.
Tony Pollard
Tony Pollard Expected to play Sunday
Sat, Jan 4, 2025, 10:23 PM
Pollard (ankle) is expected to play Sunday against the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Pollard was downgraded to DNP on Friday after limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, and he was listed as questionable. It sounds like it may have been more of a rest day for the veteran running back. With Tyjae Spears (concussion) out for the regular-season finale, Pollard should handle close to a full workload if he's truly healthy. Julius Chestnut would be next in line for carries if Pollard is less than 100 percent.
